El Agave Mexican - Pensacola

Since 4 years ago everytime we visit as a family to Pensacola , this is our go to authentic Mexican restaurant! But today that changed completely. The servers and service were bad and rude. We will never go back. When we walked in, we smelled moldy must order. We ordered our drinks and got our chips by the way never asked for the chips which is normal. But I wanted chunky guacamole pick dip. I asked for it and explain it. What they brought was not what I told them and server was rude. We had already ordered cheese and chips and drinks. We asked for ticket and charged us for the salsa and chips which is always free. If server had not been rude we would've stayed.. we covered check and left. They even said they knew and remembered us. So why service was terrible no idea but we will never go back at all.

Food looked good but the temperature was lukewarm. Taste was bland at best, yes most food of this type is..I am aware but this had NO seasoning at all. Sampler platter was ordered because it came with the stuffed jalapenos and as you can see there were none and no one mentioned a substitution of chicken wings which was not on the menu and tasted like tgi-fridays frozen boxed wings.. when we inquired about the peppers they acted confused but did give an apology and brought some peppers out.. and those tasted like the wings.. old frozen boxed stuff. Drinks weren't refilled until we asked for the check. Slow service and mediocre food won't go back. Far too many other options for fabulous Mexican food in the area.

Free chips def not fresh. Warm bean dip interesting and good. Taco dry, enchilada sauce seemed salty. Worst was the burrito con carne where the beef was fatty and chewy.

The first time here. Everything was great. The Taco seemed bigger than most I saw in Mexican restaurants. Service was great. I'm back.

I had a good dinner. She was very kind: I'm coming back.
