We have always considered it a local treat and a diamond in the roughness, as we have taken many of our family members there when they are in town. Many of our family members cannot wait to come to the city to taste their huge Greek pizzas with all the extra sausage and feta and mushrooms! Our seven children have grown up to order them on special occasions as they are a outstanding and popular in this community, as most of their 4.6 star rating can say with over 1500 reviews. We encourage their employees to maintain the great work and family tradition that goes back many years. Great Greek pizzas and great tradition!
Didn't like her pizza at all! It wasn't cooked well. The cheese was not melted, the pizza was soggy, and it tasted like a sampled store bought pizza (complete with cardboard bottom). Her fried mushrooms were pretty good!
We ordered ravioli, moussaka, and a small gyro pizza as an appetizer. The ravioli was quite good, with a flavorful sauce and a nice combination of three cheeses and three meats. However, the gyro pizza was a letdown. It was essentially just a slice of pizza topped with pieces of lamb, with some parts tough and others too soft — definitely not what we expected. The moussaka wasn't much better. We had to separate the layers to find the better-tasting bits, but overall it was disappointing. Having experienced better Greek cuisine in other cities, I know how good authentic Greek food can be. Unfortunately, Founaris Brothers didn’t deliver the authentic Greek feel or taste we were hoping for. I left feeling unsatisfied and won't be returning.
I’ve found it—the best spot for pizza and Gyuro pizza! Every time we’re in Pensacola, we make it a point to come here, and it never disappoints. I tried the Seafood Florentine Tortellini this time, and while it was almost perfect, I felt the sauce could have been a little more integrated. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed it! This place is popular, so be prepared to wait a bit, but it’s definitely worth it.
We started with the spanakopita appetizer, which was a delightful combination of spinach and feta cheese, encased in a flaky crust, and the cheese crumbles on top added a nice touch. My wife ordered the gyro plate with potato wedges, and she commented that the meat was well-seasoned and the portion was generous. She appreciated the pita wedges on the side, allowing her to create her own servings. I opted for the pastitsio, an intriguing dish somewhat resembling a casserole with a crust. It featured a subtle hint of cinnamon, macaroni, and meat sauce, all topped with an omelette. The portion was quite large, and while the flavor was mild overall, it was still enjoyable. In summary, we had a very good meal and plan to return to try either the manicotti or the gyro pizza next time. The restaurant was clean, and the wait staff was friendly and attentive, making it a nice place to eat.
