Contribuisci feedbackSince moving to Pensacola a year and a half ago, I have passed by this restaurant many times without realizing it was a restaurant. However, today my wife and I finally went in and were pleasantly surprised. Everything we ordered was delicious and served at the right temperature. I particularly enjoyed the fried chicken, which was excellent. For sides, I chose baked beans and fried apples. While the beans could use a little more flavor, they were still enjoyable. The staff was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. I have to disagree with the negative reviews I read online as we did not encounter any of the issues mentioned. Overall, our experience at PoFolks was great and I would definitely return again.
From the minute you walk in the door at PoFolks you are greeted so pleasantly.Russ Pemberton is the owner of this PoFolks and has owned the store for a long time.You will know who Russ is because he is the one that always comes around and talks to everybody. The picture below is Russ, and if you’ve been in PoFolks you know Russ! Russ is absolutely the nicest guy you will ever meet and truly knows how to run a restaurant.The food is always hot and very generous portions. Chances are you will need a to go box!If you save room for dessert try the strawberry shortcake, it is absolutely to die for!
I really enjoyed the food at this restaurant, it was just like home-cooked meals. The restaurant was very clean and had a cozy atmosphere. The only complaint I have is that the waitress could have been more attentive in refilling our glasses.
I had a fantastic time at this restaurant. The food was excellent and the staff made me feel very welcome. The prices were also very reasonable.
I came into the 9th Avenue location on 12/31/21 and paid for the chicken lunch special to go. The cashier took my order and mentioned to her co worker that she was getting off work after my order. I sat and waited as other to go orders were being picked up as well as the few inside customers being seated and receiving their orders. Also during this time the cashier who took my order and was off passed me several times knowing I was awaiting on my order. I waited 25-30 minutes with no employees checking into my order or what I was waiting on. I finally asked for the manager and asked her to explain to me why a nearly empty restaurant with what appeared to be an abundance of staff failed to not only complete my order, but did not even check with me as to what I was waiting on. She had no answer and said she would check on the status of my order. Really? After 30 minutes, now the status of my order would be looked into. I asked for and received my money back after receiving no kind of offer to make up for their mistake or anything. Maybe losing this one customer won't mean much to this restaurant in the grand scheme of things but I'm hoping that this review will cause them to be more considerate and to better train their employees in regards to customer etiquette, management included.
