Bakehouse - Penzance

Beautiful friendly staff, really nice eating and a very nice culinary experience!

Excellent eating in the Bakehouse....the steak was fantastic, like the makrele pate. beautiful evening and very pleasant staff.

Very quiet when we arrived, too bright not much ambiente. the starters were really nice, but very disappointed by the main courses, I had hake with cancer risotto, which was nice, but not seasoned, my man had the sirloin steak, which was terrible, it was very thin with the only thick piece full of fat, he asked for medium that it was nice pink in the middle, but so chewing it was practically unbearable! the pfeffer grain sauce was also quite tasteless. we told the waiter about the steak, because my man couldn't eat it, but he just apologised it! after that, we have not bothered with desserts. the wee was amazing. we were disappointed, as we wanted to eat here for some time after recommended by friends, but unfortunately we have now come out of a return visit

Visited with family ende dezember. eating was exceptionally good. service was relaxed and welcoming. in a beautiful part of the city too. will definitely be back.
