Beautiful old word literally pub with a friendly renter. sure, it will not be too tasted, but go for a pint and a talk with the old renter for strata of the village and the history of the pub! beautiful beer also!
I can't boast enough about this beautiful, unharmed pub. I had a day of pub exploration in north east dartmoor (on belstone, sticklepath and south zeal) and the 5 kneips that I visited this day, which were quite worthy of a certain merit in their own, this was far and away the best. beautifully preserved interieur, with open fire, full of nik-nikosen and details of jateryears there. a main bar room, with quieter lounge bars both sides, one of which has a bar billard table. comfortable friendly local and staff. the beer served directly from the silent period behind the bar, and also a local zider on the tap. I can not really think of any kind in which this pub could be better, and I hope that it remains exactly as it is now for many years to come.
Wonderful real pub with a friendly reception, beautiful massive fireplace, and fantastic local real ales. make sure they order a pasty to soak it.
Cosy, relaxed, authentic pub that time forgot. Big open fire. Great local real ales and cider. Hearty, simple, home-made food. Bar billiards for 50p!
