Cafe Rio Fresh Modern Mexican - Peoria

First and last time I will ever eat here. I should have turned around when you walk in and you get the stench of sewer. I proceed to order 2 bowls $24.08 only to taste the food and it is super sweet. When did elote turn into cream of corn, or pollo asado tasted like it was sweet. My daughters beef barbacoa tasted like it was pot roast and the rice was mushy. I took 2 bites and threw it out. Waste of $24 and headed to Chipotle. Service was mid and they could have cleaned the work station instead of having everything cross contaminated. Btw, guacamole was brown. How are you going to put that on someone’s plate when you wouldn’t eat it yourself? Shame on you!

Gave it a shot for the first time today I was extremely impressed, I got a burrito it was really good! The grilled chicken was delicious fresh off the grill, the pico de gallo was super tasty as well, but man!!! The tomatillo sauce was next level!!!! Absolutely scrumptious, my taste buds were having an orgasm! WOW!!!!! So good.... And I got a free tres leches cake for doing a quick survey, that was also tasty. The customer service was 10/10! I will definitely be back!

Don’t say an entrée doesn’t come with something just because you forgot to add it. This location is always leaving things out when I place an online order. Just say you messed up, fix it and keep it moving. I’ve worked in the food industry before, it is honestly that easy. I ordered the nachos, vegetarian protein with queso, and they didn’t add the rice or the queso. When my Fiancé advised some items were missing, the boy kept asking him if he was sure and proceeded to make up excuses why they didn’t add the rice or queso. Lock. It. Up. Cafe Rio.

The food is a hit or miss! my main reason for leaving a review is there’s a older short lady on the line who is constantly patronizing the other workers she’s psycho, analyzing how much meat is put on the plate, saying you’re putting too much things of that nature certain things come with your meal however to her, she likes to give you an up charge, I’m pretty sure she is not the owner. The owners are on a yacht Sippin, fine wine, expensive wine they’re not on the line so for her to act in such a way as if it’s coming out of her check it’s baffling to me so watch out ladies and gentlemen.
