Mediocre as others have said. I ordered the salmon entree and everything was dry! The salmon was actually sticking to my teeth. For $30 that's not ok. My husband ordered a cesar salad with bbq shrimp. He got a large bowl of lettuce and dressing with 3 shrimp for $20. The brussels app was my favorite thing we ordered. I would come back for a cocktail and appetizer but that's about it. It really is a beautiful spot!
I arrived at the restaurant to find that the upstairs dining area was closed, so I wasn't able to try the restaurant's dishes. However, I did explore their market area downstairs. I was a bit let down to discover that they didn't have as many vegan options as I had hoped for, only a few treats and entrees. The prices and portion sizes also left me slightly disheartened. The items were served cold, but there was a microwave available for reheating. I did try one of their Clean Eating bars and was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was. It was a snack-sized treat, similar to a healthier version of a candy bar. It was the perfect snack to enjoy while walking through the nearby park.
In September 2021, I also enjoyed lunch at Cyd's, where the burgers and fried cod sandwich were excellent. My friends really liked the vegetarian burger and the citrus salmon salad too. Additionally, they are currently expanding to include a new outdoor bar, which I am looking forward to trying.
I believe that the atmosphere, the scenery, and the overall feeling make up 85% of the charm of Cyd's in the Park. The outdoor seating area is stunning, especially during sunset. We didn't try any food, only drinks. I had the Hot Buttered Rum, which was enjoyable. However, the high prices were a major drawback for me. Everything, from the food to the drinks, was extremely expensive. This is definitely a restaurant for special occasions.
My girlfriend and I love this place and everything about it the setting in the park, the atmosphere, the service, and the food. It has become our romantic go to place. On our most recent outing, we celebrated our third dating anniversary. We were instantly seated and quickly attended to by our host. We ordered a gin fiz and a cherry bourbon sour. Both excellent we got a couple rounds. We then ordered the cheese plate to share, bourbon glazed meatloaf for her, and the truffled mac and cheese for me. The food was amazing, both visually appealing and delicious. The timing is deliberatley placed so you can unwind, relax, and enjoy, but by no means slow. Do yourself a favor and check this place out!
