Dairy Queen - Peosta

This drive-thru experience was the worst I have ever had. I waited for a long time at the window and when I finally got to the girl at the window, she was incredibly rude. Despite other negative reviews, it seems like the issues are never addressed or resolved. I would not recommend this Dairy Queen location.

We arrived at the restaurant at 6:35 PM and were greeted by a woman who seemed to be the closing manager. She angrily asked who had not locked the doors, then sarcastically said they would still serve us. However, they never actually served us, so we decided to leave and go spend our money at another local restaurant and bar called Trackside. I recommend trying Trackside for food in this town instead of going to DQ.

Accidentally knocked over a sign while leaving the lobby to go around and order my food in the drive through and the cook blew up on me and told me I needed to pay for knocking over a sign that I did not damage and then proceeded to mock me by bouncingaround and mouthing the words ?I cook your food I cook your food!? I now feel as though I am owed for the cost of the meal thatI was too scared to eat and this cook should never be allowed to set foot in DQ ever again! The photo is of the untouched meal 6hours after I ordered it that I fear could cause me to get sick because I don?t know what the cook might have done to it!

As so many others have pointed out, this location is NOT OPEN TO TRUCKERS! I saw the sign on Hwy 20 for DQ so I pulled off specifically for a Flamethrower burger. Silly me, I logged out for my 30 minute DOT break and now I'm stuck here for a half houreating garbage from the gas station because I was told that my only option was to walk up to the drive thru window absolutelyNOT safe, or even remotely acceptable. I'm sure the DQ customer relations bot will post some canned reply to this like it hasfor every other review. Real top notch customer care team you got, DQ.

I called ahead to let them know I was a driver, and they instructed me to come to the window. Despite the busy drive-thru, they stopped the cars to take my order and even offered to give my dog a puppy treat while I waited. They informed me that benches were located in front and that my order would be brought to me. Overall, it was excellent service considering the circumstances. Thank you again.
