Commander Restaurant Bar - Pequot Lakes

The pizza was fantastic, and we enjoyed buffalo nachos made with kettle chips, along with a large order of fries. My son ordered the chicken finger appetizer, which he really liked. The only downside for me was the size of the beers; they were quite small. Overall, the food was excellent!

I ordered a steak that was undercooked and had to send it back. When our waitress returned it, she mentioned she'd check on it later, but never did. My husband's $26 walleye was laden with bones, and the au gratin potatoes were undercooked, consisting mostly of cheese with crunchy, barely cooked potatoes underneath. Our toddler was getting restless, so I decided to take her outside since we were still waiting for our bill. I went up to the bar to ask for it, but our waitress didn’t even acknowledge me; she simply said, “Yup, I’ll get it,” and walked away. That was the most frustrating part of the experience. We definitely won’t be returning.

I visited the restaurant on a Wednesday evening for dinner and found an available booth right away, as there were only six other customers in the place. Our waitress approached us quickly. It had been a year since our last visit due to staffing issues, so we were glad to come back. I ordered a small pizza and my husband had a wrap, both of which were tasty. Overall, the service was excellent.

Dinner specials were fabulous, but of you wait too long you may miss out.. Staff was friendly and very attentive, quick service for being busy!

If I could give it a zero I would. Not even acknowledged. The waitress even made eye contact, twice. I had to go to the bar and ask for service. Not busy the 2 groups of guys had already been served and were eating.
