Thank you. chef may and juliette.
We were not hopeful of finding good food in such a little town on a winter's day after a walk in the mountains. The restaurant had the air of a fast food place from the outside and the menu suggested it was a burger joint,...so we did not have high hopes, but we were hungry. Inside the entrance was a dark corridor, and our hearts sank. This was not going to be a success, we thought, but we could not be more wrong! The corridor led to a modest, cheerful restaurant. There was a no choice menu with chicken curry as a main course. The helpful staff checked very carefully whether there was any gluten in the home-cooked food (I am a celiac) and there was not. Another problem: my husband doesn't eat meat and did not fancy a burger, so what to do? No problem at all: the chef rustled up a truly delicious salmon with a creamy sauces just for him. They accepted our slightly damp dog without a qualm and gave her water. The food was lovely. My curry came with perfect rice and creole salad, and was delicious. I followed it with panacotta with fresh mango, very good, creamy and not too sweet. And all this for €13 a head!
