However, what they lacked in ambiance, they more than made up for with excellent service and careful preparation. The dishes were served promptly for the entire restaurant, and overall, it was a pleasant dining experience.
The portions are more than sufficient for the average diner. The kids' menu offers a nice variety of options beyond traditional Mexican cuisine. Overall, the food is excellent, and the service is top-notch.
I absolutely love this restaurant! It offers the best Mexican food in Perry. I enjoy a salsa I can eat in large quantities—one that won’t leave you feeling uncomfortable the next day—and Mariachi has just that type of salsa. The menu offers a huge variety, and the portions are generous. In fact, I can usually turn my order into two meals. They are also very accommodating when it comes to special requests. I can be quite particular and often request changes to the menu, but they never seem to mind. They’ll prepare your dish however you want it, so I’m sure they can cater to any dietary restrictions as well. I know they offer vegetarian options because a friend of mine tried the vegetarian fajitas and absolutely loved them! From the outside, it may not seem like a place worth stopping at when you’re exiting the highway—it’s just a little hole-in-the-wall. But I assure you, if you’re traveling and need a dinner break, this is the spot to choose. They also offer takeout.
This unpretentious restaurant had a rustic atmosphere, extensive menu, good food, and quick service. It was hopping but with seats available on a Saturday evening. I ordered the pork chili verde (with beans, rice, and corn tortillas); my wife had a beanburrito and mushroom quesadilla. The chili verde was the best restaurant version I've ever eaten because they simmered the porkin the sauce rather than simply ladling sauce over cooked pork as so many other restaurants do.
If you?re on I-35, passing through Perry, this is a great place to eat. We started with their beef dip which was great. In addition to the standard salsa, they had 2 other spicier salsas that had amazing flavor. These salsas will drain your sinusesbut aren?t so spicy that you can no longer taste your meal. What looks like finely diced carrot is actually habanero pepper sojust be aware: they are spicy salsas. I had a combo plate with a tostada, burrito, and enchilada. I really enjoyed the quesosauce and how they prepared the meat. The sides of rice and beans were also good. Mrs. Flip Out tried the chimichanga and reallyliked it. Little Flip Out loved his taco. Definitely great Mexican food at Mariachi Mexican Grill and you will enjoy your meal.
