This restaurant is a simple place with tables, chairs, and padded benches against a wall adorned with large photos of Nepal. There is also a slideshow of someone's holiday in Nepal for added interest. The restaurant has two entrances, one on South-Methven Road and one at the back of Scott Road parking lot for easy car access. We had a good meal at 6 pm consisting of 2 starters, a rice dish, and naan bread. For starters, we ordered seekh kebabs and haggis pakora, along with lamb sekuwa and chicken chattu kukhura. The haggis pakora was a single piece of haggis covered in spicy sauce and the kebabs were flavorful and spicy. Our main dishes were served with rice and naan bread for sharing. We tried new dishes that we had never had before and were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant offers a variety of Indian dishes, but it's worth trying something different for a unique experience. It's easy to see why they won the Scottish curry award for 2022. They also have a good selection of beers and wines. The service was friendly, attentive, and a pleasure to interact with.
This small restaurant is lovely. The staff is friendly, professional, and extremely accommodating. The atmosphere is beautiful and the food is exceptional. My wife and I were in Perth for just one night and we were delighted that we decided to dine at this wonderful establishment. The highlight was the staff's willingness to offer us a selection from their lunch menu upon our request for something simpler and smaller. Overall, highly recommended.
Tonight for dinner and eating was fantastic. I wanted the lamb madras but was concerned that it could be too hot, but the waiter said that they made it milder and it was delicious, so was the peswarhi nan. the lamb was so tender that the fork went through them, no knife needed. my friends had the Byriani and they also said it was great. we couldn't confuse the restaurant or the personal and look forward to a new tasting of other dishes.
The bhindi (okra) was excellent, but the jalfrezi was too spicy and sweet for my liking. The rice and roti were cooked perfectly. The staff were attentive, despite being quite busy and overwhelmed. Overall, I would say this is a slightly above-average British curry restaurant. However, I didn't notice many traditional Nepali dishes on the menu aside from the momos (dumplings).
