Good news: What a lovely place! Bad news: I wish I had discovered it sooner, as Magdalena's Savories Sweets is scheduled to permanently close soon. Highlights: A mellow, peaceful, and loving vibe, created by the background music (eclectic and good but not too obtrusive , my fellow diners (friendly ; the decor (sort of a mini art gallery/bohemian coffeehouse feeling ; and the people running the place (warmly welcoming and genuinely helpful ; a Sicilian style pizza crust that took me straight back to Brooklyn (for real it was crunchy outside, tender and bread y within! ; and the world's best vegan chocolate and banana smoothie! Also: Sampled a truly delicious cardamom (breakfast roll; yes, Virginia, there IS such a thing as delicious vegan baked goods! Hope Magdalena's can stage a comeback someday!
It's an all vegan place. The food was amazing ?!! We ordered 3 dishes and all of them were equally tasty. We ordered nachos, artichoke pizza , (don't remember the third dish). Definitely recommend giving this place a try. The owners are also super sweet and very friendly. They have a bunch of board games in case you want to play something when the good is getting ready !Vegetarian options: This is a vegan place. So all dishes are vegan. They have faux meat (or imitation meat) which you can ask to be removed in case you don't want it.
I had the Asian chop salad and the other two guests had the burrito. Great vibe, great food, very kind and well-informed folks. I look forward to returning.
Fully vegan restaurant with excellent choices of pizza, sandwiches, salads and two daily specials. Attentive personnel. Pan pizzas need a bit more time in the oven to crisp up the dough (which they did when I asked). Sweets were added but will be eaten later as the portions were quite large.
