Atmosphere was very lively and warm in the best Italian way. Cuisine was very good and wine list was nicely selected with great Italian options to complement Sonoma Meatballs very tender with a heavy panade used. Sauce was lovely but came out of kitchen lukewarm inside at best Heirloom tomato salad with burrata Exquisite. Tomatoes picked at perfect ripeness and in season Spaghetti puttanesca nicely al denté and nicely prepared if not a touch too “wet” for puttanesca
The service was good. The food was very bland as if no real seasoning was used. Nice menu options.
The pasta dishes are clearly microwaved. they came out seconds after ordering. that wouldn't be so bad if they at least tasted alright. the food was extremly bland. ordered a dirty martini and they couldnt even get that right. would not recomend when petaluma has many other italian options.
We’ve been here twice. Unfortunately we don’t plan on returning and wouldn’t recommend it to other diners. The first time we were there was in 2021 and we ordered two specials, the lasagna and the pumpkin sage ravioli. The lasagna was excellent and we don’t remember having any complaints about the service, but there was so much sage in the ravioli it caused me to become nauseous before I could finish it. I tend to enjoy excessive amounts of herbs and spices but there is a limit to what a body can take and looking back I should have sent the dish back to be remade. Despite that, we gave them the benefit of the doubt and have talked positively about going back ever since. We recently went back for my birthday dinner, we had the beef carpaccio and prosciutto bruschetta (special) appetizers, both of which were very good. For entrees we had the tagliatelle al maiale and the gnocchi wild boar. The tagliatelle was good, but the wild boar was very, very dry. Again, should have sent it back. On top of that there was a dinner rush shortly after we arrived and while the appetizers and entrees came out very quickly, the time between finishing our meal and closing out the check was around 45 minutes. That may have been partly due to them writing happy birthday on our tiramisu dessert plate with fudge and adding a candle, which was a very nice touch. But it was nevertheless an inordinately long time. We held Risibisi in high regard after our first dining experience there, but unfortunately our most recent experience has changed our opinion. Kid-friendliness: There were multiple parties with children, they seemed happy and welcomed.
We sat outside under the tent that had heaters which were definitely needed. I had the spaghetti alla puttanesca. It was ok, the noodles were overcooked so they were a bit mushy. The service was very slow, a table of 6 sat down after our table of 2 and ordered after us and their food came out a significant amount of time before ours. Our waitress reassured us a couple of times that it was still coming. Overall the outdoor tent was nice atmosphere and I would give it another chance.
