Amazing decision. The pork pozole is so darn good. Giving them 5 stars based on this dish alone. Well, that and they were super friendly when merely picking up a to go order. All around good experience. Found my go to pozole in town
Tonight was mine and my partners first time at Tortilla Real and we will definitely be back. The restaurant itself is so cute and cozy. Our waiter (I wish we had gotten his name) was so sweet and attentive. We shared the Frittas, Queso Fundido and Flautas. Perfect shareable portions and super delicious. I especially loved the flautas. They were so crispy and flavorful. For entrees we shared a fish taco, rice and beans and the birria plate. The Birria was phenomenal. The best I’ve had since my last trip to Mexico. It was so juicy and tender you could cut it with a fork. The fish was so light and expertly battered. We got the churros and tres leches cake for dessert. The churros were PERFECT! One of the best I’ve ever had. The flavor of the tres leches is excellent, but I do feel it was a little under soaked but that’s me being picky. A solid 5/5 across the board. I can’t wait to go back and try the chicken tortilla soup.
Tortilla Real was a very good choice! It’s like they brought authentic Mexican food to Petaluma and added some bouji to it! The Queso was so amazing then the tacos had such delicious flavors! I got the steak burrito and it was outstanding . You gotta try this place. Best tortillas I’ve ever had.
I cannot get enough of this place. Everything so flavorful, including all of the plant-based option. Everyone can find something they love here.
Came in before a show at the Mystic and was very pleased with our dinner. While a true cocktail would have been great, the margarita with tequila infused sake was actually quite good! The chips and salsa to begin with were great. Great chips and an addictive salsa. We had the Chile rellenos, the flautas, and an ensalata real (with black beans). The Chile rellenos were on the specials section and were quite unique. Not a heavy battered mess, but a tasty complex dish. Flautas were really good as well.
