The Golden Pheasant - Peterborough

Thought it would be nice for a few of the mums from school to go for a lunch during the holidays and had heard that The Golden Pheasant had a large play area for the children. of us seemed to overhelm the kitchens capacity and what they turned out can only be described as disgraceful. The service was slow and the young girl that served us was positively mardy. I think she was hung over! The drinks seemed expensive for a small glass of house Shiraz? The food was ok in part but two of us had chicken that wasn't cooked through properly I thought. Generally we won't be in a rush to go back to the pub that the children thought smelled funny

I had to start the chicken liver parrot was really nice. I had the steak and the Ale Pie. I was so impressed by the taste and the amount of meat in it. my partner had the pork bell that was in front of location. I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for an informal environment with great food.
