I used to visit this restaurant frequently, but after my last experience, I won't be returning. I waited 40 minutes for a quiche that I had to remind the staff about, as it had been completely forgotten. When it finally arrived, it was cold, and there was no apology offered. I kind of regret tipping in advance...
I recently visited BlackHoney Bakery for the first time, and I was quite disappointed. The interior of the restaurant felt cluttered, with some areas appearing dusty. There was limited space to move around, and the confusing layout made it difficult to figure out where to place my order. I ended up having to follow the people in front of me to navigate the process. To make matters worse, after waiting for 10 minutes, the clerk's unenthusiastic greeting left me feeling unwelcome. This really dampened my excitement to try the food. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this place based on my experience. I did give it two stars for the cookies I bought, which were surprisingly good. On a side note, while there is paid parking on the street, finding a spot can be challenging. Additionally, the bakery entrance is not wheelchair accessible, and the interior is not accommodating for those who use wheelchairs.
I finally discovered the perfect espresso! Thank you, everyone. The cappuccino was amazing as well!
1. Our scheduled appointment to go over the details was a struggle, as Lisa arrived 40 minutes late. 2. Communication was also problematic; I often waited weeks for a response. I found myself having to resend emails just to get answers. 3. Eventually, we received a contract that reflected our discussion and pricing, which looked good at the time. 4. However, on our wedding day, the cake turned out to be a disaster. We had specifically requested stencil work because the line design was intricate, and Lisa had agreed it was the best approach. Instead, we found that the line work had been piped by hand, resulting in uneven, wobbly lines that were incredibly disappointing. I felt embarrassed that this was the cake we ended up with. 5. A few days after the wedding, I reached out to Lisa to share my concerns. She replied with an apology and offered a reimbursement. I thanked her and expressed my appreciation, but after about a week of silence, I reached out again and received no response. Communication came to a complete halt after that. I have attached a picture comparing what we asked for to what we actually received.
