Went here for a quick lunch on our 1 hour break from work. Service was friendly and quick. Food was delicious and serving sizes were perfect. Highly recommended!
I went with a group of coworkers for dinner. The atmosphere was very nice, service was a bit slow. I had the shepherds pie that was made with lamb and mashed sweet potato. The meat was very dry. I wouldn't recommend it.
My husband and I decided to go for lunch. We love the atmosphere. In the summer it's a nice place it doesn't have the full patio option like other places but it has opening walls that allow you to still get the patio feel near the front of the restaurant! We both enjoyed our meals very much! But for the portions... we found the price high compared to other restaurants of similar quality. We didn't get anything other than our main meals, but at other restaurants that would normally be enough. We did leave wanting a little more. But overall the flavours are great! The restaurant might not be our first choice for a night out due to the pricing, but we do know the meal will be satisfying!
This is the 4th time I go to this restaurant, over the last 5 years or so. And once again, I had a very mediocre experience. Perhaps it's bad luck? The kitchen must have messed up? Or did our waiter forget about us? How long does it take to plate a salad and a few daily specials??? Basket of bread for five contained 5 mini slices of baguette, and was not refreshed. I did not get my dinner until after one hour of sitting. To be fair, some of us had ordered an appetizer, but in my experience, the waiter should have asked if we wanted all the food at the same time or not. Or once they were done their appetizer, all the food should have come right away, not 20 minutes late. My salad was fabulous, which is why I am so saddened by the bad experience. Nope, I will not likely go back. There are too many good places in Peterborough to be made feel this way.
