Capra Toro Peterborough

The Margarita Pizza I had was nothing like a margarita pizza. They even sprinkled parmesan cheese on top which is not listed on the menu. I would have asked for them to leave it off if I had known. There was no Buffalo mozzarella slices on it that were visible. There was hardly any tomato sauce. The crust was very tough to cut as well. I do not think it was cooked in a wood oven.My friend had pasta with sausage. He said the peppers were undercooked and there was nothing special about the pasta. It did not come with any bread with olive oil for dipping. It was very overpriced.On a positive note the setting is nice and the servers were kind and helpful.We found the prices charge there were like what you would pay in Toronto at a higher end restaurant for many items. I'm sure they have some good things on the menu. We didn't pick those

Anything less than 5 stars would be criminal. Couldn’t ask for a better atmosphere or service. Friendly and quaint. Food selection was great and very tasty. First time diners…definitely not the last! Absolute GEM of a restaurant. From the moment we got there, Jaimie, Andrew, and Rourke made the visit incredible. The kitchen staff is 1000/10, bar is great and incredible quality food. I will recommend this place forever.

Nice Italian joint. Nice menu centered around the pizza oven. For example our Bruschetta was almost pizza like as it was one large pizzaish crust with sweet toppings. The Fungi Della Vita was a pasta that was so creamy and smooth it reminded me of a Risotto. Nice atmosphere and our server was very good. Recommended.

Today was our first time trying Capra Toro, and we had a great time for lunch! We had the nice shady patio all to ourselves which was wonderful. I ordered the Ray Liotta sandwich and added chicken, my husband had the Rocco's Pie pizza we both absolutely LOVED our food! Super delicious and satisfying ? Our server was really nice, and attentive too! All around we give Capra Toro 5 stars based on this visit. No complaints at all. Cant wait to return!
