The patio had a pleasant atmosphere. A suggestion for the owner/manager would be to invest in a couple of bug zappers for the patio, as I was constantly bothered by mosquitoes. The indoor seating area was fully occupied, leaving me with no option to escape the bugs. Overall, I would definitely return if I lived nearby.
Stopped in last Wednesday food was excellent and beer was great. Heading over for Fathers Day dinner.
I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and the fun and friendly service at this restaurant. The food offers great value for the price.
We dined at Porch Pint for the first time and found the service to be excellent. I ordered the Steak Kidney Pub pie with mashed potatoes, which was tasty, but the mashed potatoes seemed to be instant rather than freshly made. My wife tried the Philly Steak Cheese, which was delicious, but the fries were undercooked and unappetizing. The noise from Lansdowne Road was also a drawback due to the close proximity. Overall, we had a pleasant meal at Porch Pint.
If you're looking for a pretty authentic English pub experience, this is prob the best in town. Service is always great, and the food is dependably good. And if you let her, Lorna will chat your ear off. :
