quality of the ingredients, and the overall atmosphere, it is definitely worth it. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, making excellent recommendations. The dishes were beautifully presented and tasted delicious. The restaurant had a cozy and inviting ambiance, perfect for a special occasion or just a night out. Overall, a fantastic dining experience that exceeded expectations.

I went to this restaurant for my birthday, but unfortunately, I did not receive a free meal because I was not with a group of 4 people. We arrived half an hour before closing time, so we felt a bit rushed.

This restaurant offers a typical Mandarin cuisine with an extensive high-quality buffet and excellent service. It is conveniently located just 5 minutes off the QEW, making it a great stop on a drive to the US.

My husband passed this place on the way home in the late afternoon. He saw the sign outside advertising their BBQ and beer, so he decided to go in and find out what time they closed (Friday evening until 8:00). We arrived there at 7:15 the same evening, stood around for a few minutes while the person he had spoken to earlier finished ringing out a customer. We said we were interested in dinner. He said the kitchen was closed, but left to find out. He came out with the cook, who said the kitchen was closed. We were mildly pissed off and said we specifically came in earlier to find out when they closed. She said we could have a FASTER meal or we could do take out. At that point we said no, we didn't want to be rushed or have take out and would go elsewhere. Needless to say, we won't go there again or buy their beer in the future.

I had a truly tremendous experience at Smithaven. No idea about the food, but the beer. Oh, the beer!The young guy manning the cash turned my quick stopover for some regional microbrews into a mini tasting and super enjoyable and approachable run down of Smithaven's range of germanic style double fermented ales.I grabbed the sampler pack and one of every other beer on offer. All outstanding. My personal fav is the Belgian style strong blonde ale. Wow!The best part was swapping microbrew trivia with the staff. I shall wear the t-shirt with pride. A must visit.
