Chez Lucie - Petite Riviere Salee

Popped in for a mid afternoon banana split and guava sorbet. a great spot to grab a meal/drink and have the waves break at the foot of the patio. views to 'le rocher du diamant ' .

Right on the ocean, you're almost in the water, simple local dishes

Myself and a friend came here for lunch around 1:30, we both ordered the same thing, which may have been lost in translation as only one meal came out. When we mentioned we were waiting for 2 the waitress quickly realised her error and went to the kitchen. She didn’t come back to confirm she was getting another meal (the first had already taken nearly 40 minutes to get to us) and continued with other customers (there was only 4 other tables all of 2). I eventually got her attention and she was like oh yes I’m sorry that was my fault and it will be another 2 minutes, and asked us if we could wait. 25 minutes later it still hadn’t come. Just before 3pm we asked again and said it took time to grill fish, and it will be at least 5 minutes more. We decided to leave. The manager who took out payment was then extremely rude to us. Having worked in hospitality it’s not hard to give people a starter while they wait and a drink and keep them updated, then not grunt and abuse them when they go to pay especially when they didn’t deliver one of the meals!

My partner and I came for lunch. The restaurant near by was closed so we decided to give Chez Lucie a try. The tables along the seaside were all taken. A total of about 8 tables were seated. It was 1:30pm. A woman who was serving the dining room came to us and was very unpleasant. We asked politely for a table for two. We did not mind sitting anywhere. She was clearly not happy to see more patrons and stood staring at us for a long uncomfortable moment then abruptly said, We are closed. Get out and walked away. We were stunned to be treated so rudely and left. She earned Chez Lucie the most horrible and ugly service we have ever received at any establishment in all of Martinique! In fact, we have never been treated this way in all the years we traveled here. Shameful behavior! The other staff were clearly bothered by her behavior. We thanked them and wished them a pleasant day and left. We recommend avoiding Chez Luice. We can not recommend this restaurant at all.

Great spot, its right beside the beach. Food is good.
