I looked behind him and said, “yeah, you looks really busy”. In which he replied very condescendingly, we are waiting for a lot of reservations”. It was 8:30 and they closed at 9. No more people arrived after us.Save your money and go somewhere with better service.
On Thursday nights they feature a prime rib dinner for $22. It comes with potatoes and a vegetable. Prime rib was very good quality. My wife had the walleye and said it was wonderful. On previous occasions she had the Perch and it was also very good. My sister in law had the Walleye and said it was the she had in the area. She is a local resident.
We always try to come to this restaurant every time we visit Petoskey. We love the food but the service this time was not so good! Rebecca/Becky must have had a bad day….she had a hard time smiling! My biggest problem (which I never noticed till after we left town) we ordered crème brûlée to share and it came to the table like it was barely torched…sugar still raw on it (nothing worse then a crème brûlée with no crunch to it) and she said do you want a new one….I said I just want it torched more! She returned it and it was torched….but I was charged for both…..if I would have known before I left…..I would have taken $9 off her tip! Really didn’t feel we should have been charged for the second one! FOOD: I had the beef crostini appetizer (very, very good) and the walleye which was excellent and not overcooked. Hubby had NY strip and fries and it was good. Also had a bottle of wine.
It's Petoskey MI. You need to have realistic expectations lol. This place is good. The woman that's always our waitress is fantastic. She is always so sweet. It's a nice room. It's comped. What's not to like.
Always good food, book ahead on prime rib night for sure..
