The service was disorganized and the food did not meet our expectations. The salmon seemed to be pre-packaged and not fresh, and there were few vegetable options available. Despite notifying the restaurant in advance about our gluten intolerance, there was a lack of clarity on which dishes were gluten-free. The wine selection was subpar. The only positive aspect of our experience was the efforts of Natalie, the Food and Beverage Manager, who went above and beyond to provide us with gluten-free desserts from another restaurant. Thank you, Natalie.
We decided to have lunch at the Sola Bar on both occasions because we didn't feel like dressing up for dinner. The menu was surprisingly small but had a good variety of options. The first time, we enjoyed a tasty garlic bread appetizer ($8.00) followed by a Lamb Shank ($34.00) and a Sunny Poke ($26.00). The portions were generous and delicious, although I struggled to finish the second lamb shank. The next day, we shared Chips with Aioli ($10.00) before trying the Chicken Burger ($25.00) and Caesar Salad with chicken ($20.00). The salad was perfect and the chicken was moist and flavorful. We also enjoyed a bottle of Bancroft Chardonnay ($36.00) both days. While most guests dined on the deck overlooking the lagoon, we preferred the cool comfort of the air-conditioned lounge. Overall, we had two satisfying meals at the Sola Bar.
The air conditioning was not working at Twin Waters management and Lilly's on The Lagoon, causing 80 wedding guests to sweat through the afternoon and evening. Some guests, including myself, felt too hot and sick to eat, while the bride and groom were uncomfortable in their beautiful clothes. Men were drenched in sweat, with their shirts sticking to their skin. It was a truly unpleasant experience, especially considering this venue is advertised for weddings. Shame on you Twin Waters management and Lilly's on The Lagoon.
The seafood buffet was excellent with lots of variety of seafood and other options, desert bar great
