Had a drink here while having a great view of the busy harbour.Nice clean bar toilets.Food seemed very nice but had eaten earlier.
Enjoyed a great meal in The Upper Deck Bar on Friday night. Arrived at 7pm with 2 young children and received great friendly service. As the bar was quite busy with people dining, we expected service to be a little slow and with children this can be a challenge in itself, but luckily the staff were well prepared for children and quickly brought out some coloring books and crayons to keep the kids entertained. Again, the kids food came out first which was great, beautifully served. When our food was served, we both commented on the presentation and gorgeous smell coming from the plates. Believe me, the food tasted as good as it looked. As a local, this is exactly whats needed in town, somewhere welcoming and serving great tasting and priced food. Well done to all the staff, keep up the good work.
Here for evening meal. The restaurant is clean and the staff are friendly. The food and menu however is the issue. Haven't eaten here in ages and the menu has changed. Not a great choice compared to similar bars/hotels in Donegal. I had the burger. It was really sloppy. I ate it because I was hungry but it was not good. Sloppy melted cheese and too much bacon. The side salad was laced in dressing and a bit limp. Did not feel great after the meal. Coffee just ok. The chairs are a bit of a mish mash and the restaurant looks like tables from different parts all just landed in the one place. Could do with a face lift. So disappointed as the last time I was here it was excellent.
Our server Stacey was excellent and the food was incredible. I ordered the special ham and turkey dish, which was too much to finish. My wife had the curried chicken with half rice and chips, which was also too much to eat. Considering the prices in Ireland, this meal was not expensive at all.
