Hotel is on the edge of Lac de Vassiviere, scenery stunning. Excellent restaurant, staff friendly and helpful. Downside was 4 cats and two dogs at reception on a very wet day and the smell was a little off putting. Rooms: 3 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great view

As always, delighted by the exceptional setting, even out of season, of Lake Vassivière. The view from the balcony is always magnificent, even in the rain : Small personal drawback, for safety reasons, I did not leave my small camping stove in the wall cupboard... which I forgot to take back leaving. Very disappointed, the 3 stars are not deserved, the establishment is really not up to par. Fortunately the restaurant is just super good and the staff welcoming. For the rest, crumbling ceiling, not-so-great carpet, 60s tapestry, cat hairs everywhere, cobwebs ... Breakfast for €12 with a piece of ham and butter... Too bad because 'with a little refreshment and restoration it would be really great Rooms: 2
