3/6 - Pézenas

It is a simple looking brasserie but the food was delicious and staff very friendly. Don't be put off by appearances, would recommend a visit.

We popped in here for a couple of beers on our stroll round Pezenas and found the service and the local clientele to be most agreeable. If we'd been staying longer, I suspect this would have been our regular pub of choice. Simple enjoyment.

Excellente cuisine de bistrot-brasserie . De très belles assiettes très bien servies et très qualitatives. Des produits frais et très bons, un service parfait et une belle terrasse ombragée très agréable, le tout à un prix modique. Le contraire du piège à touriste ! À recommander absolument. Terrasse ombragée au pied de l'église. Vous y trouverez un plat du jour et une petite carte (salades, viande, poissons... . Assiettes copieuses à petits prix le tout dans une bonne ambiance avec un personnel bien sympathique. Les produits sont frais un pur régal.

Couldn’t agree more with other reviewers though this local café doesn’t look particularly impressive from the outside, it is a real treasure. Tucked around the corner from the many cafés lining up along the main street to attract the tourists, this place is worth the detour. Set in a very pretty street and full of locals (always a good sign in France! , the food (we had salads , drink (wonderfully cold on a hot day service were all great and prices very affordable you can count on subtracting a few euros for each dish compared with main street prices. We spent a very happy couple of hours here and were very glad we could.
