Ezell's Catfish Of Phenix City, Al

While passing through town on a work trip, I decided to give this restaurant a shot. There was a typical crowd for a Friday lunch, with about 20-30 people present. At first, it appeared there might not be enough staff, but I was pleasantly surprised by how efficiently they worked together. I was seated immediately and received excellent service. It took just over ten minutes from the time I walked in to having my meal served. I never had to wait for a drink refill, and the staff checked in with me several times to see if I needed anything. The lunch portions were generous for the price, and the food tasted fantastic. I highly recommend this place!

The food is fantastic! The hush puppies are truly the best I’ve ever tasted!

The family had dinner and it was excellent, as always. We've visited Ezell's multiple times over the years and really enjoy the shrimp and catfish platters. Their coleslaw and fried okra are also quite good. The service was great; even though they were a bit busy, we didn’t have to wait long, and it was absolutely worth it. I appreciate that the location in Phenix City is near my son's house, making it easy for us to meet there for dinner anytime.

Good food and great service. I ordered the blackened shrimp and cat fish. Very good

Fried catfish was great. The beer battered onion rings are awesome! Who doesn't like all you care to eat coleslaw and hush puppies.
