Waffle House - Phenix City

We absolutely love Waffle House! There were plenty of cars in the parking lot when we arrived. We sat at the bar and had to wait a while for service since they were short-staffed and very busy. However, Joy, the expediter, did a great job keeping things running smoothly. Our waitress, Unique, was attentive and made sure to check on us while she was busy cleaning tables, restocking, and delivering other orders. When our food came out, I sent the eggs back to be cooked more, but everything else was delicious! We truly appreciated our meals, especially given the long wait time, and we decided to pay that kindness forward.

The food was great. Never understated. The staff that worked was really nice and deserves tip.

Hands down the best Waffle House I have ever had!! Every time we come the meal is hot, the customer service is on point, and it’s clean! My husband and I will drive pass like 4 other waffle houses just to come to this one! Everyone is so friendly too!

We dined at this restaurant and placed our orders. The staff was exceptionally friendly, and the food was served quickly and was delicious. Highly recommended!

We specifically asked for syrup and utensils for my waffle, which the server forgot. I was told that we couldn't eat until all the food was ready, which led to a half-hour wait. I didn't want my food to get cold, so I ended up finding syrup on another table and just eating with my hands. The food was delicious when it finally arrived, but the situation took a turn when two of the staff members began to argue, knocking over some tea in the process. While it gave us something to observe, we were getting fed up waiting, so we asked for a refund after being met with some resistance. Other customers were having similar experiences, and the staff admitted they were overwhelmed. Despite the chaos, we eventually received our last meal just as we were giving up on the refund, and it was also very tasty. However, the confusion continued as they attempted to charge us again, likely due to the mix-up among the staff. Overall, it was an interesting evening, though certainly not without its frustrations.
