I do not think this is a new restaurant. We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary, we are experienced diners, and wanted to try a different place. The location is good and our server was very nice. The food was terrible and completely overpriced. Our appetizer was a meatball dish. It lacked flavor and the polenta cakes added unnecessary texture. Our main dishes were just as bad. Both the branzio and pasta dishes were very overcooked. The prawns on top of the pasta dish were so tiny, they should not have been included in the description of the dish. There was no seasoning and the presentation was also quite sad. They are considerate enough to ask about allergies and special celebrations when you make the reservation. They do nothing with that information. We specified it was our 25th wedding anniversary so I placing our table in the pathway to the kitchen and bathroom was their way of saying thanks for coming. There were other tables available. The bar looked nice. We will not be returning
We have enjoyed many stellar meals in our great city and tonight we are thrilled to add a new favorite to a list of favorites! Adelina 's, in beautiful Chestnut Hill! From the moment we approached this beautiful corner location with lovely mini gardens of brilliant tulips and flower boxes to the outdoor tables with heaters... we knew it was something special! That was only the beginning! Every part was excellent!. 'Can you even think of a single weak link? The hubby asked...nope! No I can 't. Lovely Julia started us off with 2 unique, signature cocktails... I had the the Raffle Ticket.. 2 more please! ! ... and an appetizer of meaty, yet delicate mussels we 've enjoyed in years! Outstanding! Where did they find these beauties!? Broth...spectacular! A beautiful selection of rich, colorful , olives took us right back to Italy ! The scallops were outstanding... seared perfectly and plated with rich, colorful potatoes and whispers of flavorful, fresh herbs! A work of art in its presentation. The hubby 's seafood Acqua Pazza was spectacular... abundant with shrimp , bronzino , mussels! The desserts and espresso finished off a perfect meal. Julia was an absolute delight, pleasantly attentive to every need without being at all intrusive. Thank you Julia , for making our evening that much more special! Thank you Adelina 's, for an unexpected great date night. What a great addition to Chestnut Hill. We 've already made reservations for a special evening with out of town guests from LA in May! Can 't wait to share this special new place with them ! Ps the fact that every dish, plate, bowl, is unique did not go unnoticed. Each was different ...a collection... and more lovely than the last. Just like grandma 's house!
So good, had an expresso martini, meatballs and the risotto. Wouldn't have changed a thing!
Very nice restaurant. beautiful atmosphere (we sat at the window). the food was slightly tender, would have tasted more for our taste. the service was ok. the bathroom could safely use an upgrade. vegetarian options: good place for vegetarians. parking: many parking spaces around.
