Really not much to say. The “philly’s best wings” are really just regular pub style wings, and the service was pretty slow despite it not being very busy. Just a regular pub
Bartender is extremely touchy and easily offended. I understand that there are a lot of people in the bar, so I raised my voice to get his attention(large white man with glasses) and got an in my face tirade about how I had better not ever do that again. I apologized and left it at that. I understand that my actions could be seen as rude and that I wasn't considering that because I had been drinking, but there was no reason to get up in my face and start wide-eyed chewing me out when a calm explanation of why what I did was rude would have worked much better. Don't worry. I won't be back, so there won't be another confrontation. I apologize again for offending the bartender.
Ate food on a Thursday evening. Not sure if that might have anything to do with the food, but probably not. Me and my wife ordered bayou fries, mozzarella sticks, bacon cheddar burger, “award winning wings”, shrimp basket, and a Caesar salad. We were giving this place a thorough shot, and everything except the shrimp came up short. Below basic. You’re better off cooking the aforementioned yourself. Decent window seats though.
Went on Sunday with the family for the StrEAT Festival and was up charged. Upon reviewing the receipt, I saw that the charge for our chicken wings was different than what I remember it being on the menu. After paying the bill, I patiently waited for the 1 waitress to return with my receipt to ask about it, but she never returned. I proceeded to find a menu and go inside to speak with the waitress. I let her know that she up charged me which she immediately denied. An older man with glasses then came over and she told him that I am accusing them of up charging me. She mentioned a guy’s name who apparently wrote up the receipt. She then looked for my receipt but was unable to find it in the huge stack. He then looks and finds my receipt in a different pile and grabs a menu. Next thing he says is we owe you $10. Proceeds to the register, gets the $10 and gives it to me with absolutely no explanation. I proceed upstairs to the bathroom only to come down and overhear him telling another man (maybe the owner or manager) sitting in the booth what happened. The other thing I noticed is the amount of tax that I was charged-$5 even which made no sense. Not only up charging on my food items but also rounding up the tax. Hopefully Uncle Sam is getting the overage they are taking for tax.
