Black Cat Tavern On 12th - Philadelphia

Found this great little jewel after a funeral. we had to hang around before we picked up our daughter at the airport. service was amazing, cocktails are delicious and eating, all scratches made in the house and definitely made with love! we had their signature pirogies, mac and cheese and disco frits! I'd order everybody again! we have actually ordered pirates to go and a pickel suppe for our hungry daughter! we will definitely come back!

A very nice and chill spot! Went here before the Bad Bunny Concert and the bartender possibly owner was a great guy, conversation was casual and recommendations on things were spot on. If I make my way back to that side of town it is definitely a place to stop in for drinks and to have a conversation. It isn't huge so it's a very personal tavern, it's welcoming.

Came here before heading to Wells Fargo and it was a nice place to pregame. There was one man running the whole show he greeted us, worked the bar and served our table. He was sociable and attentive to all his customers. It was my first time having pierogi and they were flavorful. I didn't know what to expect but it was definitely something worth trying. I had a small plate of Mac cheese. There was something missing in the Mac cheese but I couldn't quiet put my finger on what it was.

Honest review of the Black Cat..... Bartender on point. Greeting the guest, perfect. The food menu is when things took a turn. I get why you are trying to do it Polish but, my suggestion would be do American. You can do this change the menu to more american food. You already have the atmosphere that is cute, and it's cozy it's more relaxing than other bars in the area.

Went to the Black Cat Tavern for the first time before the holidays with family. One of the best meals I’ve had in recent memory. We ordered a couple of special items in addition to food from the standard menu and cocktails. The cocktails were all delicious and every food item was a stand out. Hard to highlight any one thing since it was all so good but the Kielbasy Burger and the Pickle Soup special were full grand slams. Super chill mom pop tavern vibes close to the stadiums casino so would be a great pre game stop. I haven’t stopped talking to family and friends about this place and our meal since my night there. Will be returning very soon.
