Chez Colette - Philadelphia

I won't be returning. The experience was disappointing in every aspect. From the moment we arrived until we left, nothing met our expectations. The host was awkward, and the dining area was uncomfortable. The faux leather seats were torn. Our servers cleared our plates before we were done eating. The food was excessively greasy, but we felt we had to eat since we hadn't had anything all day and needed to get to a performance. We chose this place to celebrate our 10th anniversary, and we didn't receive any acknowledgment for that.

Everyone at Chez Colette was incredibly helpful and accommodating. A special thanks to Shannon, who seated us and regularly checked in to ensure everything was satisfactory, and to Miguil, our fantastic server who was both friendly and efficient. And I can't forget to mention the delicious food – the scones were fantastic, and the lobster benedict was likely the best I've ever had. Thank you for a wonderful brunch experience!

Chez Colette offers a cozy atmosphere for those who enjoy French cuisine. The staff is exceptionally welcoming and friendly. Miguel, the head waiter, enjoys engaging in conversations with guests in French. The dishes are beautifully presented and are more than sufficient to satisfy most diners.

Unfortunately an underwhelming experience, apart from the tea master, who did a really great job. The rest of staff were absent for the most part, and swore in front of customers. The food was mediocre too. The dessert tray was good, but sandwiches were small and left more to be desired. They also don't provide additional sandwiches, like is usually done at high tea, so for the first time I left still somewhat hungry. Overall, I didn't think the price was worth the experience.
