Chickie's Pete's The Original Robbins Ave

I dropped my wife off for a class and had some time to spare. While looking for a nearby place to eat, I discovered there was a Chickie's and Pete's close by, so I decided to check it out.

One of my favorite places! Tonight, we ordered the lobster nachos, and they were absolutely amazing. I also tried the shrimp nachos for the first time, and to my surprise, they were delicious too!

I had a fantastic time visiting the original Chickie Pete's! I really prefer the nostalgic, smaller dive bar vibe over the newer, larger restaurants. Maybe it's just me, but the fries felt fresher and crispier than at other locations. I ordered the roasted pork sandwich, and it was enormous and delicious! I also picked up a cute Chickie's Eagles t-shirt for my girlfriend while I was there. Plus, finding free street parking on a Friday early evening was effortless.

The service was quick, professional, and courteous. The food was satisfactory, but the mussels could have used more seasoning. The fried shrimp were just average, while the crab fries were, as always, delicious.
