Ingredients were fresh. There could be more. My burrito was kind of skimpy but tasty. I’ve been twice. Both times paid cash, once it was cheaper to pay with cash. The next time it was price as card.
It's hard to give this place a fair rating. The food is delicious, but you really never know what you're going to pay until you order. The website isn't updated, and neither are the paper menus in the actual restaurant. There are just signs on the order window saying prices have changed with no further explanation. Times are hard for everyone I get it, but $44 for two burritos and some nachos is kind of ridiculous. If they could just be more transparent about pricing it would be a great help to everyone.
The place is plain and simple, and very clean. They've a world class salsa roja, and two of us shared an equally transcendent shrimp burrito, with plenty of shrimp. It was October 30th, and early in their day, before lunchtime. Maybe that's why the chips seemed to have been from the night before — not fresh. The señora who took our orders, communicated with the cook, and served our food, came back a little later to ask if we were enjoying our meal. She was very friendly, and she was so glad to hear us praise the burrito that I couldn't bear to kvetch about the chips. The array in the corner with flowers and photos may not be permanent, as we were there only two days before Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead). I'll certainly be back again next time I'm in the neighborhood.
I did a pick up order and it was super quick. It was before close so it wasn’t busy. Food was good. Portion was enough. I’d eat here again. Parking was easy for it to be on south street but it was also end of the day.
