We really like Green Eggs Cafe. We had never eaten at this location (only ever did take out here). We really liked this location a lot. People were super nice in the waiting area. We had about a 15 minute wait but the hostess kept checking updating us as the time went.I always get the breakfast burrito which is excellent, but this time I got the chicken BLT which was excellent. There was a lot of bread so I only at the bottom bread and it was plenty to eat. It came with a side salad which was good, but could have used more vinegar (mostly oil)One in our party is vegan so she always gets the tofu scramble. It's a large portion and comes with potatoes and toast and avocado. She mashed the avocado on the toast and that was great. The strawberry matcha drink had good flavor, but the matcha was not mixed in so when sucked through the straw you go mouthfuls of powder. There were also no fresh strawberries in it as mentioned on the menu. I think it must have been a VERY off day for this one. I will have to try it again and make sure to send it back if it's the same. Also, it's vegan though it doesn't say so on the menu. They always have different choices for eggs benedict. Very creative and very good. Can't wait to return.Vegetarian options: They clearly state what items are vegetarian or vegan. And most drinks can be made vegan (the whipped cream is non dairy and really good would never know it wasn't real cream.
Service was slow but food was delicious. We know it's hard to find help these days. Our waitress was super friendly but she was running around and covering multiple tables by herself.
This charming cash-only restaurant boasts a lovely atmosphere adorned with lush greenery and beautiful artwork, instantly making you feel at home. Our party of four was warmly welcomed by a friendly hostess who promptly seated us. Shortly after settling at our table, a polite waitress came over to take our orders. Being a BYOB establishment, you can bring your favorite beverages to enjoy with your meal. Despite it being a busy Sunday morning, our food was served in no time. My husband chose the Creole shrimp and grits, my son opted for the Buffalo mac and cheese, my daughter had the fruity pebbles French toast, and I indulged in the crème brûlée French toast. The portions are quite generous and absolutely delicious, so arrive hungry—I could barely finish my meal! The service was exceptional, and the overall vibe of the place is delightful. We were thoroughly satisfied with our experience and I highly recommend this restaurant, although be prepared to hunt for parking. It’s definitely worth the effort!
The atmosphere was the highlight of our visit. We didn't have a dedicated server; it seemed like whoever was nearby would attend to us. I didn't mind this approach. The food was decent, although it was much better a few years ago, and the menu feels a bit repetitive. Nonetheless, it's still a nice spot for breakfast or an early lunch. Just a heads up, there's no liquor service, so unfortunately, no mimosas for the ladies! Overall, it's a great place for a family breakfast, and they do offer a children's menu, making it kid-friendly.
