Traditional salvadorian appetizer , Pupusas , this is the only spot that you can grab just Pupusas in philly that I no about I've only tried this out out of curiosity , being from San Salvador I love Pupusas only , I make them myself , they were ok no I would not get them again they were soggy it was like getting a empanada at a papi store if you no what I mean .
Great food good prices. Order online or in store which will take about 30 minutes wait but worth the waiting when you know your food is being prepared fresh. Wheelchair accessibility: They have outdoor eating.
This was my first time here, I’m not from the area but I was looking for something quickThis hit the spotDelicious pupusas great variety of food !!!???
I was first introduced to this restaurant by a Honduran friend who told me he knew an authentic spot. I've never had Honduran food so I took his word and gave this place a shot. Ever since, I try to visit every now and then since it is a bit out the way from me located in the Northeast. For those that aren't familiar, this place is known for pupusas. A pupusa is a circular flat bread that is stuffed with various meats and cheeses and is served with hot sauce and a pickled cabbage slaw. This dish is native to South American countries such as Honduras and Venezuela. I've had the chicken and cheese, jalapeno and cheese, and the pork and cheese pupusas and all were fantastic. Not sure if there is a correct way to eat pupusas but I put some of the slaw on top of the pupusa along with the hot sauce and folded it like a taco and went at it. Very good. I've also had the pollo a la plancha (grilled chicken platter) which comes with generous portions of grilled chicken, a side salad, black beans, rice and two tortillas. Before it used to be under 10 dollars but they've recently raised their prices and is now around 12 dollars. Even with the price adjustments, I feel like it's a bang for your buck. I always call ahead or order pickup through ubereats so I don't have to order in person and wait. Food is usually on time and the cashier is always friendly.
