Great spot for a quick dinner that is a bit nicer than a traditional pub/grill but nothing too fancy. Had the street corn nachos app and the fried green tomato grilled cheese. Both were good. The space is very nice and seems good for dates and also small groups.
We enjoyed the food and atmosphere but did find the noise level uncomfortably high. Our main disappointment was the 30 minute wait for our food to arrive after ordering. Patrons seated beside us waited much less time with the same waiter. A definite positive was the careful attention all the staff gave to my severe allergies That was much appreciated. We will be back.
Used to be a favorite for beer and burger. Very different under new regime. 6 of us had burgers which were cold. Thick slice of cold tasteless tomato. Fries excellent. For us the beer list was disappointing. We prefer porters and stouts. The do have Guinness on tap but that's if for the style we wanted. New classier menu might be fine but wasn't what we were seeking.
My band used to play at the Tritone, which was what the Cambridge was years ago. Same problem now as then insufferably loud. Loud music and louder patrons trying to scream over one another. It made my birthday dinner with my family a silent affair as we all just gave up trying to shriek at each other and ate in silence. Good fish fry though.
