The Capital Grille Philadelphia

A well prepared and presented meal with a wonderful and attentive waitstaff.

Unlike the Virginia location which is superb, the Philadelphia location was awful. The chicken was dry, the risotto was overly salty, and the steak was tough. The coconut cream pie, which is a usual favorite of mine, had almost no coconut whatsoever. It was just whipped cream on a graham cracker crust. Highly disappointed in the Philly location, as the Virginia location is one of my favorite restaurants.

One of the reasons i wanted to go back to the capital grille was to enjoy those great mushrooms. they changed the recipe, however, and i was a bit disappointed. my guest's meat was overdone. he asked for medium well, and it came out well ... very well. it was still delicious, but the tenderness was gone.

This restaurant is amazing! Everything was absolutely perfect from start to finish. I would give it 10 stars if I could. The food is exceptional and the service is top-notch.

Great night. Danny is always very accommodating and witty. Food was spot on and Chef came to the table for a visit. Doesn’t get any better. Special shout out to Erica the hostess. We were running late due to traffic, called to notify and she was as pleasant as can be.
