Trattoria Moma - Philadelphia

Trattoria Moma is a gem! It is one of the best places to eat in the area. Their waitstaff is knowledgeable, patient and observant. We were able to take advantage of the 4 course meal. It allowed us to enjoy an increadible dinner at a wonderful price point. This quaint restaurant extends its reach with outdoor seating adjacent to the building. The bread, perfect. The gluten free pasta options, perfect and the Osso Buco, amazing. Back again and the new artichoke dish is FANTASTIC!! Layered with goat cheese and carefully constructed. It looks as beautiful as it tastes.

Wait staff is great and attentive and like that it is a byob restaurant. However, for the price the food did not match our expectations. My chicken dish was dry and under seasoned, the side of veggies it came with was very oily. The bread basket was also dry which was a letdown. My sister’s seafood pasta dish was decent but for the price this restaurant is nothing to rave about. The dining room also needed better air circulation, it was very stuffy and crowded inside!

Definitely recommend. I cannot eat gluten and they are very accommodating and have gluten free pasta that is amazing! Love the small dining room and seeing the owner running dishes, checking on every table, and making the table-side pasta gives it the small family feel.

I dined at Trattoria Moma yesterday evening with a friend for her birthday celebration. Everything was delicious and the service was impeccable. We ordered the meat and cheese appetizer, the bucatini cacio e pepe, wild mushroom ravioli, and mixed veggies on the side. If only we had room left for dessert! I will definitely be back the next time I feel a hankering for delicious, authentic Italian food.

Our food was very delicious! The servers were amazing. We were dining outside and our server joined by others who were not assigned to our table struggled mightily to make sure our tables were covered by umbrellas to shield us from a sudden burst of rain. Everyone was kind and thoughtful. Huge thanks!!!!
