Such a great bunch of people here, from the staff to the customers. Everyone is so friendly and polite. And the food, well let 's just say that we enjoyed perhaps the best muscles we 've ever had, which was in a red sauce. We 're from SoCal, so we 've only had them in white wine sauce. I 'm ask about the amazing red sauce now. The server was incredible and took really good care of us. They have a great selection of vegan food, as well, for those who are so inclined. Strong recommend! Come enjoy a taste of old school Philly!Cheers, friends!
I have been a vegan for many years and enjoy trying out different vegan restaurants, but this one is truly special. The Philly cheesesteak was absolutely amazing - both my non-vegan boyfriend and I thought they must have made a mistake and given us real meat because it was that good! But it wasn't just the meat that stood out, the entire dish was perfectly balanced. Even the spaghetti sauce was better than some fancy Italian restaurants I've been to. The vegan cheesecake was also the best I've ever had. The Triangle Tavern should open locations in NYC and worldwide because their food is truly exceptional. I would recommend this restaurant to all my friends, vegan and non-vegan alike. If you're in town, you must try it out!
The pizza had a fun, sports bar vibe and was good for that setting, although it was not quite the classic New Jersey bar pie style. The polenta fries were fantastic and the breaded fried coating paired perfectly with the marinara sauce. The triangles (presumably referring to pizza slices) reminded me of wedges, and I look forward to trying them with some lemons next time. There were plenty of vegan options available for vegetarians. Parking in South Philadelphia, particularly on Passyunk Ave and surrounding areas, can be a challenge for out-of-towners. The restaurant is a bit cramped and mostly has high top tables on the first floor, making wheelchair accessibility limited.
This restaurant is a fantastic choice for enjoying a cold beer outdoors in the afternoon. The food is excellent and offers a wide variety of vegan options. The service is consistently friendly and attentive.
Indoor and outdoor seating. Inside includes tables, high-tables, and bar seating. Bathrooms downstairs are a tad cramped but convenient otherwise. Staff is always friendly and knowledgeable about specials and drink menu. So many good vegan and vegetarian foods. Get the country sweet sauce vegan wings, they are life. ??Vegetarian options: Multiple vegetarian and vegan food options. Definitely a great spot that is accommodating.
