Virasat Haveli - Philadelphia

I recently hosted a birthday party for 25 people and I was extremely pleased with the service provided by this restaurant. They had all the seats reserved for us before we arrived, and the establishment was very clean and organized. The food served was delicious and the portions were generous. What really impressed me the most was the exceptional service provided by the staff. They were efficient and welcoming, especially Bikash who works at the front. He always had a smile on his face and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. Whether dining alone, with friends, or family, or hosting a special event, I highly recommend this restaurant as it is truly a fantastic choice.

The food was disappointing and not as good as it used to be. The restaurant has serious consistency problems, as the same dish can vary each time it is ordered. For instance, the last time we visited, we did not receive the gravy with the kabab platter, even though it had been included in the past. Additionally, the service was lacking. We discovered a dirty plate at our table, indicating poor attention to cleanliness. It seemed that the restaurant was understaffed, with too many delivery orders and customers for only two servers who were also acting as waiters. As a result, the wait staff did not have enough time to properly attend to all guests.

When this restaurant first opened, it was a hidden gem for Indian cuisine. Their butter chicken was especially delicious. However, since the management changed, the quality has declined and the prices have increased. While I understand that the pandemic has been challenging for restaurants, the inconsistency in the food at this place is disappointing. Like other reviewers have noted, the taste seems to change with each visit. I have attached an old picture of the butter chicken for reference.

I have tried so many restaurants all over Pennsylvania but this one is by far the best restaurant i have ever been. The environment, food, service, everything was perfect. especially the butter chicken was phenomenal. It?s not even over priced.overall it?s a good place to have food with friends and family.

The food is always great and very flavorful. The decor in the restaurant is very warm and welcoming! Highly recommend the chicken biryani and chicken malai kebabs. The staffs are friendly however depending on the time of the day the food could takesome time to get prepared. Just be aware of that.
