Winkel - Philadelphia

The food and service were excellent, but I had an issue with the automatic 20% tip added to the bill before we had a chance to decide. I prefer the freedom to choose the tip amount without feeling pressured. Since we were just a party of four (two adults and two kids), it felt awkward to ask the waiter to adjust the tip in the middle of our breakfast. I really didn't appreciate being put in this situation.

I really enjoyed taking my time over breakfast at this place. The flavors were full of intriguing surprises. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the service was wonderful; they were able to provide great recommendations. The food was exceptional. This will definitely be one of my regular spots for breakfast meetings!

I visited the city for a day to see a friend, and choosing to eat here turned out to be a wonderful decision! I ordered the salmon benedict, which was fantastic, while my boyfriend had the breakfast sandwich. He claimed it was one of the best breakfast sandwiches he's ever tasted! My friend opted for the classic benedict and also loved it. I’ll definitely be recommending this place to my friends!

Nice spot. Great natural light. Friendly staff. Indoor seating and a few outdoor tables; nice vibe. Interesting menu with some fun variations on plates you're probably familiar with.This city has a lot of breakfast and lunch spots, so I probably won't return to this one, but it was with a single visit.

My friend just had a medical procedure suggested lunch at one of her favorite restaurants, Winkel. It was my first time there and the waiter recommended the Crab Frittata, which I don 't recommend. It was bland no flavor. I don 't think it was prepared with real eggs. The staff was friendly and when asked how is everything, I remained silent. I didn 't want to spoil our visit by complaining about the food which she loves.
