Harkers Hollow - Phillipsburg

We weren't sure what to expect as this was our first time at this restaurant. But we were pleasantly surprised. They had a good Valentine's menu and the food was really good. The staff was so nice, even though they were really busy. We would go again.

We were the only people in the restaurant on Black Friday night. The server was excellent, very attentive and friendly. The menu was a problem in that several of the items were unavailable. Additionally a couple items listed on their website menu are not available any longer. This led to disappointment for my son as he was looking forward to a couple items and neither is on the menu in the restaurant any longer. They need to update. Basic decor, nothing special, kind of like a weak country club. Food arrived quickly, as it should when we are the only table. Burgers were good, pierogies were disappointing as they were deep fried, not pan fried and served with green onions and not the traditional sauteed onions. Raviolis, butternut squash filled, my son had were fair at best. overall disappointing but the waitress was awesome.

Uninspiring. Lovely attentive waitress. So so and not very tasty chicken, salmon main courses, awful balsamic salad dressing. Pretty decor. Two dessert choices, a carrot cake and a cupcake...wow 2! Huge tasty cup of coffee. Too bad it wasnt better or tastier as we could use some nice restaurants here.

However, we encountered some issues with the menu as several items were not available, and some dishes listed on their website were no longer offered. This was disappointing for my son, as he had been looking forward to trying certain dishes that were no longer available. The restaurant should make sure to update their menu. The decor was basic and unremarkable, resembling a mediocre country club. Our food arrived promptly, considering we were the only table in the restaurant. While the burgers were tasty, the deep-fried Pierogies and lack of traditional sauteed onions were disappointing. The buttery pig Raviolis were enjoyed by my son. Overall, our experience was disappointing, but the waitress did a great job.
