Alamo Cafe - Phnom Penh

So far I have only ordered once, but the huh fried steak was very good and the price is also reasonable. it was delivered hot to my office, I will order more dishes and can recommend eating in alamo cafe.

My husband and I found this place after visiting Tuol Sleng. They offered Tex mex which immediately caught our eye. Being a huge fan of jalapeno poppers, we decided to give it a try. Omg! These poppers were made fresh. I made love to them in my stomach. Unfortunately, now i will never be able to find any to match the quality and flavor of the ones i had there. My husband ordered the tacos. We could almost hear the chorus line saluting the piece of heaven before us. Please do yourself a favor and eat here. The chef is amazing. You can tell she puts her heart and soul into the food. It's family owned and operated. The company is amazing as well as the conversations. Fresh and delicious and we thank you all. Can't recommend this place enough.

I eat here often because I leave satisfied with both the taste of the food and portion size. Is it normal American portions, no but then we're in Cambodia not America and not everyone wants to eat that much in this heat. Of course there is the price as well. Most of the main menu is $5.75 and I truely get my monies worth at Alamo Cafe. The owner/chef was initially trying to do just takeout and delivery but because of people like me who want to sit down somewhere and jaw a bit she's had to rethink her whole business. Now she's had to take a good part of her cooking space and install tables for customers. Her cooking space has shrunk to less than a third of the original area and it gets crowded. I know her and her husband are trying to expand the cooking area which will make it less crowded and will look much more professional. I can only wish them good luck as it will continue to be a steady eating spot for me...

An excellent experience. I had the alamohun (see picture) that was filled with cheese and jalapenos and rolled into seasoning before cooking. it was fantastic. my wife had chicken wings. she couldn't finish her, so I have to try her too. absolutely delicious. large portion of high quality food to competitive trips: the perfect combination.

My wife and I came over this jewel that went to the museum. the familiar articles have provoked our attention, as we have not seen most articles in se asia so far. it was a dead thing between here and another restaurant very close, we chose alamo and that's when the dings went terrible right! first the inviting faces and the smell of smoked meat are always a good sign. I had the soft tacos and my wife had the jalapeno poppers (which are usually frozen from a bag back to home) and they were handmade and amazing! the tacos had so much taste and so well balanced I'm not sure I can't go back tomorrow for round 2. the host is a family and proud of her work, it shows.... on her taste buds. that's not true! such nice people with the woman who is the chef chef and a restaurant veteran that make the menu. they make themselves and their likes a taste (pun intended) and stop them to make new friends. if they have no time, they are more than happy to do takeout or delivery.
