They seemed quite busy, so that may have slowed service and even the kitchen down, but it was close to any hour before we had our meal, the special halibut that was on the chalkboard at the entrance. We enjoyed our food and miss having a California Kitchen in Tucson. We aren’t likely to drive to Phoenix for just a meal.
This restaurant does not use Open Table. They do not use a wait list or priority seating. So making reservations with Open Table does nothing. The front desk does not have access to the internet or to Open Table, so they have no idea if you make a reservation with Open Table. Restaurant was good, but using Open Table did nothing.
Hostess, server and manager are amazing. All CPK’s serve great food but the people make this place special.
When we checked in and said we had priority seating the hostess had no clue what to do with that information. Luckily it wasn’t terribly busy so she just sat us. Our waiter took forever to greet us and didn’t check on us too often throughout the meal. He did get the orders right though. Everything tasted good. The restaurant is really awkwardly dark. The TVs were not working and they were flashing every few seconds. Kinda made me sick. We will probably be back to a CPK but probably not this one.
It's CPK....food is ok, good place to eat a quick dinner most of the time.
