The house cut and battered fresh cod was great. We are from LA and our relatives live really close, so this will be our gathering spot from now on. Parking was free and easy. Do note their hours, they close after lunchtime.
Loved the atmosphere and the waitress was very friendly and also very engaging. She made everything at restaurant seem very comfortable and she attended to all of our needs and requests. Definitely will be going back again.
I don't know what to say. Last time we were here the food, service was amazing. This time I could say the food was okay at best. The coffee was so weak you could see through to the bottom of the cup and the orange juice tasted odd. Concentrate oj is usually okay but this was different. We got a Mexican omelette and a short stack of pancakes with strawberries and bananas. They were okay, but again, the quality is comparable to Denny's. The coffee though, woof. It was more like a coffee flavored tea. Our experience set a little bit sadder tone to the rest of our day. Please google instructions on how to make good restaurant quality coffee.
I've been coming here for many years and I really miss the new owners. They were great. Friendly the new one owners. They seem nice but it was crazy. When I asked if I could have a couple of water to go, I was told I would be charged a dollar and when I asked for extra lemons for my water I will also charged for the lemon wedges. I don't know. I don't think I'll be coming back anytime soon. I really do miss the new owners but it's his little things that people do notice that's changed
The food and service was good. The drawback that I have is that substitutions on my choice on the menu was not allowed.
