Lenny's Burger - Phoenix

The burgers here are fantastic, and the fries are delicious—especially the sweet potato fries, which are a must-try. There are also plenty of kid-friendly options available. While there was a bit of a wait for our food, it was fresh and well worth it. They were out of CO2 for the soda machine, but they informed us right away, which I appreciated instead of marking them down for it. After all, everyone is dealing with shortages these days!

The restaurant was quite warm, possibly due to a malfunctioning air conditioning system. Because of the heat, we decided to order our meals to go. It has a definite neighborhood vibe, with a couple enjoying a game of rummy at one of the tables, and many regulars seemed very at ease there. The menu offers a wide variety of food options, along with several flavors of shakes and ice cream. Unfortunately, my dining experience did not go well; my friend started experiencing stomach cramps in the car and ended up being sick as soon as we got home. I also had stomach pains and ended up discarding most of my food, only managing to eat a bit of the zucchini. I cannot recommend this place.

After finishing up, I returned to the counter for my cone. The girl who took my order had completely forgotten about me, even though it had only been about ten minutes. Despite the unsettling experience and the behavior of some patrons, this place has potential. The cone was quite good, and I won’t forget my visit anytime soon. If they were to tidy up the place and improve the atmosphere, it could be a great stop right off the 17 on Glendale Ave.

The burgers were good, but the fried zucchini and tots were the standout dishes.

I absolutely adore Lenny's burgers; it's my favorite place in the whole world! They serve the most amazing grilled chicken sandwiches, and if you ask for a large drink, you can get the biggest root beer float with just the right amount of extra flavor.
