Umami Bbq Sushi - Phoenix

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal! Our waiter, who also happened to be the bartender, was extremely attentive and worked hard to ensure our needs were met. We appreciated that the entrees included rice, soup, salad, and tempura. Everything was incredibly tasty!

This Japanese restaurant in Scottsdale is absolutely fantastic! Having visited several sushi places in the city, Umami is definitely one of my top picks. The yakitori is delicious and surprisingly only $4! They even have PXG highball on the cocktail list. I will definitely recommend this place to all my friends.

This was our first time dining at this restaurant. The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff were friendly. The food was really delicious, especially the bulgogi and BBQ roasted rice. I would definitely recommend this place and will be returning in the future.

Terrible management, untrained staff, eating was quite good, but rolling are overwhelming for the price. the personal was inappropriate/unknowledge about daily fish specialties or prices, many menu items were no longer available due to new management and no longer Korean bbq. I was ordered 20$ for two pieces toro a 24$ sashimi salat and it came with 4 pieces toro, 4 thun fish, 4 salmon. was demolished and not revealed the special 20$ toro was included in the salat, it was also almost inhabitable as it was loaded with lemon slices and had to pick Sashino peppers anywhere to get everything. the communication all around and nothing was done about it 100$ for 2 apps 1 roll and an salat. avoid better sushi places out there.

Umami BBQ Sushi is the bomb!! I’m so happy right now. The Happy Hour prices are on point. The staff are friendly. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with the most happiest hostess. Then I sat down at the sushi bar and Kai delivered my food with a smile. He serenaded us at the sushi bar and it was fun and entertaining. The food was divine. Check out the photos. I ordered the Firecracker and Las Vegas roll, calamari and shrimp tempura. The sushi bar gave me a complimentary cucumber salad to start with. I’ll definitely be back! Oh yea … I gotta give a shout out to my bartender, Stephanie … my Umami Mule was perfect!! Thank you to the hostess, Krysta for being so gracious and happy when I walked in.
