Kaab Gluay - Phuket

Fairly big family-run restaurant serving lots of Phuket-infused and Thai dishes. They seated us quickly, dishes arrived between 15-30 minutes. Really affordable and very tasty, must try! Their popular dishes include: Crab curry with vermicelli, the coconut gravy is soupier. Goes well with the vermicelli. Roasted chicken thighs in pandan leaf with sweet sauce was tender, juicy and fragrant. Stewed pork was fatty and decadent. The yummy, thick gravy goes well with our additional order of white rice. They served lots of drinks too, it was quite average. We had a diluted Thai milk tea. The restaurant was quite big with lots of seating, mostly walk-ins. They don't charge taxes and they take card payments. Nearby is a convenience store where we found desserts. Absolutely must-try if you're in Phuket!

Delicious meal! The crab curry and braised pork belly were both rich and flavorful. However, the fried shrimp was unfortunately underwhelming. Wish we were with a bigger group to to more dishes! Would def come back again

Google maps said they open at 10am. We arrive and see no one in the shop. We finally got seated at 10.30am and they told us the food will only be served from 11am. Food was decent but nothing to shout about. Prices are on the higher side for a restaurant without air conditioning. There were a lot of bugs and mosquitoes flying around too. Bring repellant if you intend to dine here.

Highly recommend to my friends and family, reasonable price and friendly staff services here. Sure that I be back when travelling phuket islands.
